Cross-border and posted workers
As an employer, you can send an employee to work in another EU country for a limited period. At that point your employee becomes a “posted worker”. Throughout the posting period, you must guarantee them the same conditions and terms of employment as those in force in the EU country where they will work unless the home country conditions are more favourable.
Cross-border workers are individuals who commute between their home and work countries regularly and are fully integrated into the labour system of the work country. If you employ cross-border workers it’s important to understand what rules apply.
To work in your country, staff who obtained their qualifications in another EU country must make sure that their experience and profession are recognised in your country, for example, by using the European Professional Card.
